Escort/Place Card Details & Questions
What is the difference between escort cards and place cards?
Escort cards tell guests which table they have been assigned to and are typically displayed together near the reception entrance. Place cards are set at individual table settings and identify where each guest should sits.
Can guest names be printed on escort or place cards?
Yes, once you place your order we will reach out to get your guest list. Please review spelling, titles, and table assignments carefully before proof approval because these details are personalized for each guest.
When should I purchase my escort cards and/or place cards?
Given the tight timeline for day-of stationery we try to accommodate you as best as possible. Orders must be placed at least 3 weeks before your wedding date at a minimum. Upon approval of final proofs, orders typically arrive within 2-3 weeks.
How many escort or place cards should I order?
For exact place cards sitting on a table, you should use individual cards-- one for each guest. For escort cards (which guide guests to a table rather than a specific seat), combining couples onto one card is common and acceptable, so you can choose to do individually or combined cards. We also recommend ordering 10-15% extra blank for late changes, replacements, and keepsakes. Final guest counts and seating assignments should be confirmed before your cards enter production.
