Wedding Invitation Details & Questions

What is included with this wedding invitation?

This main invitation is the primary card that formally invites guests to your wedding and shares the essential event details: hosts’ names, couple’s names, date, time, and venue. It may be ordered on its own or paired with coordinating enclosure cards, reply cards, envelopes, and day-of stationery to create a complete wedding paper suite.

Unlike other stationers and designers who only offer bundled semi-custom suites, we offer our semi-custom suite options à la carte, so that you have the freedom to build your wedding invitation suite in a way that works for you. By design, you have the ability to mix and match every detail and build something that feels truly customized to you and your wedding stationery story.

Can I customize this invitation with my wedding details?

Yes. This semi-custom invitation can be personalized with your own wedding details and custom wording. We reach out to get custom wording after you place your order. Additionally, for any semi-custom wedding suite, you can customize font choice, ink color, monogram initials, and monogram color. The original watercolor artwork and core layout remain part of the collection’s design.

I'm not getting married, can I still order these invitations?

We are happy to customize the invitation wording for any occasion as long as you meet our minimum order requirements. Whether it's for a baby shower, bridal shower, gala, corporate event, milestone birthday, bat mitzvah, or whatever you are celebrating we are happy to assist you. We believe every celebration deserves to have beautiful invitations!

What paper and printing are used?

This invitation is printed on felted paper with two different options for paper thickness. Felted paper has a beautiful textured surface inspired by the surface of watercolor paper. All invitations are digitally printed. This method was chosen to preserve the artwork’s detail while creating a refined, tactile presentation. Paper samples are available if you would like to experience the stock before ordering.

Are the watercolor details on the invitations hand-painted?

Every watercolor detail on these invitations is hand-painted in Victoria's New York City studio. After they are painted they get translated into digital files and are collaged and curated into their final compositions. These hand-painted details include the floral designs, the monogram letters, the border lines, etc. The final invitations are a printed version of the original artwork.

How many invitations should I order?

Order one invitation per household, not one per individual guest. We recommend adding 10-15% additional suites for late additions, keepsakes, your photographer or planner, and mailing contingencies.

Does the wedding invitation card include an envelope?

No, our invitation envelopes are ordered separately from the main invitation cards so that you have the flexibility to select envelope styles and quantities based on your needs. Browse our selection of envelope options here. Invitation envelopes are sized to hold the main invitations card and any additional coordinating cards like enclosure cards and RSVPs. RSVP envelopes are smaller and sized only for RSVP cards.

When should I mail wedding invitations?

Most couples mail wedding invitations approximately 6-8 weeks before the wedding, or 10-12 before a destination wedding. Work backward from your mailing date and allow time for wording, proofing, production, assembly, addressing, and postage.
